Some observers think this comes from Barratt homes and symbolises David Cameron´s radical proposals to build over the Green Belt (proposals coming from his Uncle Ferdie).

But the victims of this smash and grab raid seem to be the Italian Post Communists, who picked La Quercia as their symbol years ago.

It also resembles the logo of the French UMP -party. Does this mean, that the Tories are approaching the French Gaullists? Why leave the European People's Party, then, or are they planning to found a new party with the Gaullists?

I think the Italian connection suggests that something "sinister" is going on here - perhaps trying for clear blue water between them and the Tony/Berlusconi axis?
