What an idiot. Either he knew all along, and lied on his form, or he signed something with no knowledge of what it contained. Doesn't look good for him, especially as the issue of his... busy lifestyle has already been raised.
To me, it smacks of arrogance.
Ironic too that MPs from all parties (including Conservative) have voted to make the law against signing false declarations much tougher - it is part of the Electoral Administration Bill going through Parliament.
