Liberal Review Revamped

Rob Knight's hard work pays off handsomely

Rob is far too modest to blow his own trumpet, but his redesign of Liberal Review looks sumptuous.

A big thanks to Rob from the Apollo team!

Yes, it does indeed look very good, especially liking the frontpage.

One thing I'm not, personally, keen on is the bar at the bottom with the rotating features, if that could be turned off for those regulars that, y'know, read mostly everything anyway?

However, the captcha system is a pain, even harder to read than the blogspot ones. Although I did see that huge pile of spam you got caught with, couldn't something like Akismet be adapted?

Third attempt at completing the captcha...

Um, 5th. If I, with 20/20 vision, am finding it hard, then others will give up even before the first attempt. Not at all keen on them TBH. Fistful's is good, it's always the letter 'a'

Good points. I've tweaked the captcha settings a bit, to make it more readable. If you really don't like the captcha though, then you could register an account. Registered users don't have to enter the captcha text.

Registered users also now have the option of turning off the footer bar too.

Registered, rather painless, didn't even note it was possible before, ah well.

Capchas did look easier to use, but worth monitoring, it will undoubtedly put some people off; perhaps a note+link to the register page next to the comment boxes/captcha complete box to let people know how to get around it?
